Can i rewire a different radio harness on a car?

i have tried everything trying to figure out this radio in my 95 cadillac concours.i dont have big $$$$ to pay someone and i dont want to rewire it.i cut the harness and got power to the radio but no sound.i know the stock amp has something to do with it.so,i was wondering,could i get the male harness from a similar caddy and use it????if so what caddys have the active audio?i ordered a male harness off a 95 deville and i am hoping it will work.pleeeease can anyone tell me!thank you very much!!!11
