What is a good substitute for Adobe Acrobat X Pro?

I need the printer for certain websites, when I submit documents to be published. I can download Acrobat X Pro, but it says that it is missing PDF maker files and shall I open in repair mode? At first, I tried but nothing happened, So I uninstalled. I also tried to repair or modify through the Installation Wizard. Recently I tried other PDF readers on the Net too. Some of them like bullzip are a bit complex. What is a good PDF printer?
