Ceiling fan no longer works, but light does?

I've read the answers you've gotten from people in your question,and i agree with it's probably your fan's motor that's causing the problem. Follow those instructions to wire directly into the motor itself. If it doesn't work still then since the wires are in the attic vermin or other unseen things have caused the wiring to fault out.
