How do I hide my junction box?

I had my ceiling lights, shower and doorbell rewired recently, and the only place the electrician could put the junction box was to put a hole in the hall ceiling, so it's now exposed. Can I get a plasterer to plaster over it, or do I need to be able to access it, and if so, how? Thanks.
