Rewiring a computer fan question?

Use a multimeter to check the polarities of the case output wires. From there you can determine which one is +/- and which is speed control or the rpm sensor. Check to see if the fan is the correct voltage for the case most pc fans are 5v and laptop fans are usually 12v
