No Electiricity due to repair?

My landlord told me today that there is new owners and next week there will be no power to the building for two days to rewire certain areas because of a possible fire hazard. What if anything is the landlord responsible for? Hotel, lost food.....etc...What about renters insurance and do I have to foot the bill up front for a hotel and wait to be reimbursed?
